Dr. George Bilgere’s seventh collection of poetry is Blood Pages (2018). He has received the Midland Authors Prize, the May Swenson Poetry Award, a Pushcart Prize, an NEA grant, and the Cleveland Arts Prize. He has given poetry readings at the Library of Congress, the 92nd Street Y in New York, and the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC. His work is familiar to NPR listeners because of his appearances on Garrison Keillor’s, A Prairie Home Companion and The Writer’s Almanac. He teaches in the English Department at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ in Cleveland, Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two fine little boys.
