This past spring, physics department students were busy making presentations on their research at scientific meetings in the area. Caroline Kuczek, a junior physics major, won a Best Poster award at JCU’s Celebration of Scholarship with her research "Analysis of the ROTSE I Data to Create an Unbiased Survey of Variable Stars." David Sprenger, a 2021 Chemistry graduate and Physics minor, won the Best Poster by an Undergraduate award at the Spring 2021 Ohio-Region Section Meeting of the American Physical Society (OSAPS) with his research “Remote Investigation of the Photoconductivity Mechanisms of Methylammonium Lead Iodide Perovskite Thin Films.” Congratulations to Caroline and David! Four other JCU Physics students also made presentations at the OSAPS meeting, which was hosted by JCU this past April.
