The Brother Raymond F. Schnepp, S.M., Scholarships are awarded to encourage and give recognition to students who excel in mathematics.

Awards will be up to $1000, depending on available funds. The amount of each award will be determined by the Selection Committee, based on the criteria below.  Awards are for one year only, with half being dispersed each semester.  Recipients in one year may apply in subsequent years.  An award may be withdrawn following any semester in which a student's academic performance is judged unsatisfactory.

Selection factors:

  • Intention to major in Mathematics or Teaching Mathematics.
  • Recommendation of two JCU Mathematics professors.
  • Quality of academic performance.
