La Storta Retreat

January 9th-16th, 2022 at Jesuit Retreat Center

JCU has been a pioneer in offering an eight-day silent retreat to college students. The retreat is based on theSpiritual Exercisesof Saint Ignatius Loyola, which has profoundly influenced the lives of countless people since the 16th century. Information sessions will be offered in late October for those considering the retreat, which takes place the last week of Winter Break.

During “Senior Week” (the time between the last day of Finals and Commencement), as your time at JCU comes to a close, this is an opportunity to spend some quality time with friends remembering the important events, persons, and experiences of these years together while also sharing prayer, hopes, questions, and ideas for the future. The day begins with lunch on campus, together with a faculty/staff guest who has mentored you during your time at Carroll. This is followed by an experience of prayer/reflection, some breakout sessions, and a reflective exercise. Lunch and dinner included!
