Expanded Four-Year Campus Housing
The on-campus residential community is one of the many highlights of student life at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. Research shows that more than choosing a major, a student’s success hinges on the ability to develop meaningful relationships. Fostering a sense of community and belonging often begins in the residence halls, where students develop positive new friendships and productive routines in close proximity to all that our campus has to offer.
First-year students entering ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ in the fall of 2023 will live in university-sponsored housing for four years. This excludes commuters whose permanent address is within 35 miles of campus. University-sponsored housing includes single, double and suite-style rooms in on-campus residence halls, JCU-owned houses and duplexes adjacent to campus, and apartments at the front end of campus.
Why Close Counts
Current third- and fourth-year students who commit to university housing confirm why proximity matters. These students consistently access educationally beneficial activities — including academic support — and maintain higher rates of academic success.
